About BPC-157

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide, a chain of 15 amino acids with the sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. It is derived from a fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice and is supplied as a lyophilised powder.

Research background

In the published literature BPC-157 has been examined almost entirely in cell cultures and rodent models, with investigators looking at tissue repair, angiogenesis and gastrointestinal models. Human clinical evidence is very limited and BPC-157 is not an approved medicine. Researchers use it as a reference peptide in in-vitro and preclinical study designs.
